Complete Home Remodel
A complete gut and remodel project in Colchester, VT.
We worked with Adam Ginsburg Architects throughout this design/build home remodel. We removed several walls to open up the interior space, and in half of the house we raised the ceiling up 2' to vault the ceilings and reframed the roof in the attic space above.
The kitchen had been in the middle of the house - we removed everything and built an all-new custom kitchen at the back of the home. The kitchen features custom cabinetry, granite countertops, a tile backsplash, recessed and drop lighting, and new appliances.
We installed new hardwood floors throughout the home and installed a large 9' slider to the back deck. We had a mason come in and reface the fireplace with stone and installed a new mantle and slab.
Two bedrooms were combined to create a spacious master suite with sitting area. To do so we removed a wall and added a support beam.
We completely reworked the hall bath, master bath and laundry room, stacking the washer and dryer to create more space. We relocated the plumbing to provide more space in the master bath and installed a custom tile shower with a custom glass door, and a custom double vanity created by the cabinet maker who built the kitchen cabinets. The result was a spacious and elegant master bath where there had once been an inconvenient and cramped space.
